It's a parody based on the popular Harry Potter series. After returning to Hogwarts, Harry is chosen to represent his House, Gryffindor, to enter a contest, the House Cup Tournament. On the other hand, Voldemort is secretly plotting to kill Harry...

The Harry Potter in this musical has a lot of difference from the novels. Harry is very childish and likes the wizarding world because it's where everyone thinks he is cool! XDD
Like the books, Harry has two best friends, Ron and Hermione. However, in the musical, Hermione is truly smart but bad-looking, and she feels inferior because of it.
Harry is in love with Cho Chang but dare not tell her because of the ridiculous theory: You never tell a girl you like her. It makes you look like an idiot!
In this show, Draco Malfoy is played by a cute girl, Lauren Lopez. The Draco she played is so adorable that I want to cuddle her and kiss her on the forehead every night before I sleep!
The headmaster Dumbledore has a really good voice! He reveals that the Sorting Hat gets hitched to the Scarf of Sexual Preference, so he would just put anyone who looks like a good guy into Gryffindor, anyone who looks like a bad guy into Slytherin, and for the others, they can go to wherever they want, he doesn't really care! XDDDD
He doesn't even know one of the House, Hufflepuff!

(I have to admit that after I have finished all the Harry Potter musicals, the moment I hear the song as I rewatch A Very Potter Musical, I couldn't bear crying.)

After the students have gathered, the Poison Master, Snape, gives them a pop quiz and asks them what portkey, foreshadowing, and horcrux are. Let the audience have some clues about the show!
Dumbledore is so cute that he would give himself points, even it really doesn't matter! XDDDD
Draco likes to do some actions like rolling to get others' attention! He introduces a school on Mars which has a ridiculous name, Pigfarts, and he wants to attend it one day. The headmaster of Pigfarts is Rumbleroar, a lion who can talk.
Hermione teaches Draco a lesson after he insults her as a mudblood, and Draco seems to start having a different thought of Hermione.
Meanwhile, the teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts, Quirrell, is secretly plotting to control the magic world with Voldemort, who is attached to the back of his head after defeated by baby Harry Potter.

After spending their whole time together, Quirrell and Voldemort gradually become friends which Voldemort doesn't have before.

In the tournament, Harry has to defeat a fierce Hungarian Horntail. Summoning his guitar, Harry successfully moves the dragon and beats it by singing a song.
As the first trials ends, the annul Yule Ball is coming, and everyone is seeking partners.
Draco is totally interested in asking Hermione to the ball! XDDDD
When Quirrell and Volemort conspire to put a portkey at the ball to transfer Harry to another place, they make a promise that they'll go rollerblading and see the movie one day!
Finally, it's the Yule Ball!
Seeing Hermione dressed beautifully, Ron and Draco suddenly realize that they fall in love with her.

At the meantime, Harry and Cedric touch the portkey Quirrell put at the ball and are teleported to a graveyard. Quirrell kills Cedric, and Voldemort is revived due to the ritual which is completed by Harry's blood and one of Snape's hands.

Voldemort's servants, Death Eaters, arrive to welcome their dark lord, and reveal the plan to pass the blame of murdering Harry Potter to Quirrell so that the wizarding world won't notice that Voldemort has returned. Though feeling guilty for Quirrell, to fulfill his dream of controlling the wizarding world, Voldemort sends him to Azkaban.
Harry manages to get back to Hogwarts and exclaims that Voldemort is back.

Harry stressed out because of the fact that Voldemort wants to kill him, Ginny chats with him and tries to comfort him. Although Harry has already been in love with Ginny, he tells her that they can't be together through the Spider-man movie. (I think StarKid really loves Spider-man that he appears in all the Harry Potter musicals and Holy Musical B@man, too!)

Draco and Volemort make a binding magical contract in which Voldemort would give Draco a rocket ship so that Draco could travel to Mars, and Draco would lead his into Hogwarts and kill Dumbledore.
Volemort has tried to enter the school by a giant slide and trampoline! XDDDDDDD
It's the most hiliarious that Draco holds Voldemort's hand firmly and makes Voldermort promise another thing.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione meet Dumbledore in his office where there's a poster of Zac Efron, who is the main character in the movie High School Musical.
Dumbledore explains to them what horcruxes are: the objects in which Voldemort stores his soul. Just then, Death Eaters enter the office, and Snape kills Dumbledore because Draco is unable to do it.
On the other hand, Voldemort successfully takes over the Ministry of Magic. Nonetheless, while celebrating with his Death Eater, Bellatrix, he recalls the memory that he and Quirrell share and can't help but sit back to back with her.
Voldemort and Quirrell are genuinely missing each other!

To give Harry confidence, Ginny tells him that he is not alone in the fight against Voldemort, and Ron and Hermione also join her in the song.

With the help of Draco, Harry, Ron, and Draco plans to destroy the last horcrux in Dumbledore's office while Hermione and Ginny would contact the Order of the Phoenix to help them.
Before they part, Ron and Hermione affirm their love for each other and kiss! I must say, Ron and Hermione is my favorite couple in the novels. I can't stand that anyone says they aren't a match!
In the office, they discover that the poster is actually the horcrux by surprise, and Ron manages to destroy it even it seduces him to kill Harry.
They are truly the best symbol of friends!
At the same time, the Death Eaters, who have captured Hermione and Ginny, invade the office, and Snape sacrifices himself trying to protect them. Before his death, Snape reveals the truth that Harry is the seventh horcrux.
Voldemort arrives in the school and threaten Harry to surrender in exchange with other students' lives. Knowing that he is the horcrux, Harry realizes that he must die so that Voldermort could die, he surrenders to Voldermort.
In Harry's hallucination, he meets Dumbledore.
The first thing Harry asks Dumbledore after knowing he is capable of knowing everything is the ending of the TV series, Lost. XDDDD
It turns out that Dumbledore isn't dead, and he goes to Pigfarts on Mars with its headmaster, Rumbleroar!
We must uniteThe students finally unite and fight evil together, and after knowing Harry isn't dead, their morale is greatly cheered.

Voldemort is going down!
Harry explains to Voldemort that his act of sacrifice would make the students immune to Voldemort's magic, and Voldemort's unconcern for others would lead to his own death. Voldemort attempts the Killing Curse, and Harry reflects it and kills him.
In Azkaban, Voldemort shows up because he actually cares about Quirrell, and the last piece of his spirit arrives to make amends with Quirrell.
The couple reunite blissfully with each other at the end.
They really love being stuck on each other's back! XDDDDD
