One day. a starship arrives on the planet, and February, a starship ranger of the Galactic League of Extraterrestrial Exploration(G.L.E.E.) is chased by the Mosquito brothers and trapped by "mammal wranglers."

Before the starship leaves, the son of the president of G.L.E.E., Junior, gives an android, Mega-Girl to the rest of the starship rangers, Up, Taz, Specs, Krayonder, and Tootsie Noodles whose first name is what one does and the second name is what one loves.

The team accepts Mega-Girl unwillingly because of the preceding Robot War, in which Up gets serious injury.

Bug finds the trapped Fabruary, who is blinded by bug mucus. Not seeing anything, February considers Bug another captured starship ranger, and Bug accordingly discovers his chance to fulfill his dream. Hence, he frees February and runs away with her.

Hideous Creatures

Bug tries to tell February the truth while the rangers are fighting with bugs. He fails and February is brought back by her teammates. However, Mega-Girl betrays the starship rangers and leaves every rangers except February on the planet.

Bug is punished by his actions of releasing human, and after this, the Mosquito brothers take him to meet their boss, Pincer. Pincer provides Bug a way to become human by using a brain leech, which lets two creatures become psychically linked if each has one. As return, Bug must bring back the human "for dinner." Not knowing Pincer and the Mosquito brothers want to eat them, Bug agrees.

Bug,in a human body, saves the team who is stuck in a spider's web and joins the team to find February's starship to get back.

Junior contacts the leader of G.L.E.E., and it turns out that he sends February to the planet for the bug egg implanted in her body, which can be used to produce a bug army!

At the mean time, Bug and other rangers make it back to the starship and want to return to their planet, which is against Junior's plan because he finds out that there's no egg implanted in February's body. He soon deceives them that the warp crystal of the ship is missing and they have to stay here until the ship is fixed.

Everyone goes to rest to prepare for the action of hunting the warp crystal.

Up tells Bug his story in the Robot War: He and Taz fought together, and to protect her, he hurt seriously, causing his weak personality. Gently, Bug tells Up that caring people doesn't makes one weak but strong. Hence, Up realizes that being oneself is the most important, and Bug is convinced by the argument, wanting to reveal his true identity to February.

As Bug brings February to the bug world, Junior plans to kill Bug and make February implanted with bug eggs! He commands Mega-Girl to distract other rangers; nonetheless, she refuses because she has feelings for Tootsie! Angry, Junior removes her inhibitor chip, making her a mindless killing machine.

Bug brings February to the starship which crashed a long time ago, and they discover a video that reveals Junior's plan. To warn other rangers on the ship, they rush back to it anxiously.

Soon after they tell other rangers Junior's conspiracy, Pincer, the Mosquito brothers, and Junior, who has been captured by Pincer and promises him to give him human bodies, invade the ship and force Bug to reveal the truth.

As Mega-Girl attacks them, Tootsie Noodles changes his name to Tootsie Mega-Girl due to the reason that from his planet, one's second name is what one loves! His confession allows Mega-Girl to overcome her programming and download emotion software so that they can be together!

 I really love the story of the two. As dumb as Tootsie can be, he is the one who breaks the wall of Mega-Girl!

Meanwhile, the Mosquito brothers are attacking Taz, and Pincer is trying to eat February. To save Taz, Up convinces the mosquitoes to suck his blood instead and successfully defeats them, proving that caring others doesn't make one weaker but stronger. To protect February, Bug locks himself and Pincer in the airlock, and confesses his love to February before jetting them to the space.

As Bug's human body is broken, his mind returns to his own body. He terrifyingly discovers that Junior is attacking the hive!

While Junior shoots Bug, Bugette, who loves Bug so much, sacrifices herself for him. The eggs she protects then hatch into larva and defeat Junior.

Bug shows his true self to the rangers, and February still loves him no matter he's a bug or a person.
Tootsie and Mega-Girl happily get married, and humans, bugs finally live in harmony.
