The musical parodies the Disney film Aladdin and tells the story from the point of view of Ja'far, the Royal Vizier.
In the 1992 film, Ja'far is a villain while in this musical, his story would be redressed.
Spoiler Alert!
Ja'far is the Royal Vizier of the Magic Kingdom, which once prospered because of the devotion of two D's, duty and devotion. However, the kingdom is now destitute and everyone blames Ja'far for it.

Why is everyone in the kingdom white? It's the best line ever! XDDD
No matter how many times I watch it, this line always slaves me.

Everyone hates Ja'far and believes they only have to dream harder to have good things happen.

It's really hard for a man of science to believe the existence of a dijnn, but to undo what's done, Ja'far is willing to believe the nonsense. I think it's the most important that touches me.

Teach me to undo what's doneI really appreciate a dialogue in Golden Rule:
Sands of time, take me back
Villager: It's my right!--
Ja'far: But is it right?

Who has the gold makes all the rulesDisappointed and heart-broken, Ja'far meets Sherrezade, a story teller and palace entertainer, who shows up at the beginning of the musical. She tells him a mystery of the Tiger Head Cave and displays half of a golden scarab necklace, which would lead to the Tiger Head Cave if one finds the other piece. Despite the fact that Ja'far is a rational man and only believes in science, he soon falls in love and marries Sherrezade due to her beauty and wisdom.
I want to know your storyIt's the most beautiful love song I have ever heard. Every time I hear the song, I can't help but cry.
I want to know your past
I want to know your future too
Fill my days and nights
With the tale of you

Some secret hidden part
Illogically insists that you are there

But I was orphaned at 33

The guard is actually holding in laughter. XDDDDDDDDD

After finding the other piece of the necklace, Ja'far promises Aladdin to release him if he can retrieve the djinn's lamp from the Tiger Head Cave.
Aladdin is only interested in the princess' body and he decides not to return the lamp after he leaves the cave.

The princess is indeed a girl with a kind heart but a little ignorant. However, who can blame her? She spends all her life in the palace.
It's so funny that they actually write a song "Take off Your Clothes!" XDDDD
Take
off Your Clothes
The princess thinks of Aladdin as a prince because he uses the wish from the djinn's lamp. To make up for what she has done, she asks him to marry her to keep the kingdom safe from Prince Achmed by his wealth and power.
Ja'far tries to expose Aladdin; however, instead of being caught, Aladdin makes everyone believe Ja'far is a sorcerer. Ja'far then grabs the lamp and escapes.
Twisted
Just like Chris Colfer says,"A villain is a victim whose story has not been told."
I love Dylan Saunders' voice and acting so much! He does have numerous potential!
--
Ja'far accepts his twisted path and decides to right the wrong, even if it means that he would be remembered as a villain.
With no lamp, Aladdin has fled while the princess try to find him to fight Achmed. To protect the kingdom, Ja'far uses two wishes to confront Achmed's army. As he finds the princess, she is taken hostage by Aladdin and Ja'far suddenly realize that the princess is his and Sherrezade's daughter! Ja'far begs Aladdin for the princess' life and promises to exchange her with the lamp. However, before he hands over the lamp, he makes his last wish, to free the djinn and become the djinn himself! Aladdin finally escapes. At last, Ja'far gives the princess the lamp, grants her three wishes, and persuades her that she has the ability to lead the kingdom.

The story lingers onThis song is doubtless a masterpiece! Many villains appear in it and tell the story from another aspect. The story we know might not be true. There might be some hidden part...
But the version that is drawn is twisted
Just like Chris Colfer says,"A villain is a victim whose story has not been told."

Ja'far:
You are kind, and that's enough
Princess:
You're a diamond in the rough
Both:
And you are the power
The power in me
The power in me...
It is saddest song ever. They just know that they are father and daughter and they have to separate. Since Ja'far chooses the twisted path, he doesn't believe that he would have a happy ending. As the princess tells him her last wish is his every happiness, he doesn't think he can do that; nonetheless, to comfort her, he says, "It is done." so that she can move on without him in her life.
There's just so much in a song for one to bear.

Ja'far thinking he would live out the rest of eternity by himself, all of a sudden, Sherrezade appears.

Because of the last wish of the princess, they finally are reunited and Sherrezade decides to stay with him forever. She tells Ja'far that the princess leads the kingdom to the third golden age by following the golden rule and making everyone a princess and Aladdin becomes old and fat, managing to live by selling second-hand goods until being killed by a thief for bread.
Ja'far asks how their story ends, and Sherrezade answers,

A thousand and one nights with you is not enough to spendThis musical tells a misunderstood man's story in a warm and gentle way, and because of it, I am willing to believe that even one day my road may be twisted, if I persevere to do the right thing, there's would be a happy ending waiting for me. It also convinces me to believe in love again!
At last we have a story with no end
Let this be a story with no end...
It is love!
